45 Dead After A Bus Ferrying Congregants To Moria For Easter Plunges From

The tragic incident happened this morning at the Ga-Mmamatlakala area on the R518 Road in Waterberg District, Limpopo. The bus was transporting Zionist Christian Church (ZCC) members to Moria in GaMokwane, Polokwane. The congregants were headed to the annual Easter conference in the town. Social media reports suggest they were coming from Botswana.

 

The bus approached Mamatlakala Bridge and the driver lost control of the vehicle. It then veered off the bridge and plunged into the gorge below. When it landed with a heavy thud on the ground, it exploded into fiery flames with passengers inside.

Emergency responders promptly rushed to the scene to save lives. Authorities are yet to reveal the number of deaths and injuries from the horrific accident. However, witnesses reported fatalities from the tragedy.

Social media users expressed pain over the bus that veered off a bridge and exploded while carrying congregants.
