Award-winning journalist, Hopewell Chin’ono, has mocked Zimdancehall chanter, Enzo Ishall born Stephen Kudzanai Mamhere saying waka-shaker after the chanter performed dismally in the ZANU PF primaries held on Saturday.
Waka-shaker is a colloquial term for losing value or depreciation which was used in Winky D‘s song Mbinga Yakashaker which featured Enzo Ishall.
In a social media post published here by ZNN News, Chin’ono said:
Popular dancehall singer Enzo (shall real name Kudzanai Mamhare contested in the recent ZANUPF primary elections and got only 7 votes out of 1,385 in Sunningdale
I don’t understand why the young man chose to taint his name joining one of the most corrupt parties under the sun and face the humiliation of being rejected
Now the youths are calling him Enzo 007
Enzo 007 waka Shaker-Shaker
The Kanjiva hitmaker got the least number of votes.
