Elon Musk Is Once Again The Richest Man In The US, Overtaking Jeff Bezos

TOPLINE | Tesla CEO Elon Musk is once again the second-wealthiest person in the world and wealthiest person in the U.S. as of Wednesday morning, as he and Amazon founder and chairman Jeff Bezos continue to go back-and-forth for the title.

Bernard Arnault, CEO of the LVMH empire, remains the wealthiest person in the world per Forbes’ list, with a net worth of about $231.1 billion as of Wednesday.

Musk’s wealth resurgence marks the latest in a month-long jostle between the Tesla CEO and Bezos. Since the beginning of March, the pair has flip-flopped in the wealth rankings. The most recent movement came Tuesday when Bezos briefly took the top U.S. spot. When Musk lost the no. 2 spot on March 6, it was the first time he wasn’t in the top two of Forbes’ real-time billionaire rankings since Aug. 19, 2021.
