ROAR Entertainment, the organisers of Rick Ross’ maiden show in Zimbabwe have issued a ticket scam alert.
This comes after a fraudulent website was set up by an Instagram account purporting to sell tickets to the Grammy-nominated rapper’s Zimbabwe show.
The Instagram account set up an Event on Eventbrite. Eventbrite is an American event management and ticketing website service that allows users to browse, create, and promote local events.
Rick Ross Is scheduled to perform in Zimbabwe on 18 November at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).
In an interview with a local publication, Zimbuzz, ROAR Entertainment spokesperson Ms Shally said they will announce the official payment platform in due course and urged Rick Ross fans not to risk losing money by buying the fake Rick Ross tickets on the internet.
She urged people to be on the lookout for these scams which she said have become rampant on social media. Ms Shally said:
We are going to release our tickets information officially on our social media handles, website as well as bonafide media organisations. We urge people to be on the lookout for these scams as they have become rampant on social media.
