Female gospel musician, Dorcas Moyo who have been heavily criticized for her last week’s social media posts has said that she will not be involved in a social media confrontation with anyone.
The Mutare-based gospel diva posted a controversial post saying “Ranganai Zvichakona” on 31 March, the day which was set aside for a nationwide protest by some citizens. However, her post which was seen by many as careless resulted in trolls and even insults from her followers.
In an interview with Zimpapers Arts and Entertainment Hub Moyo said, “Honestly speaking, it is not easy. At times, it really takes its toll on oneself. I have learnt not to engage in social media battles and have opted for quiet diplomacy,”.
She said that she chose to see all the insults and trolls in a positive manner and not fight back or reply to any of them.
Meanwhile, the musician has received a brand new 2025 Toyota Fortuner 2.4 GD6 from the controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo, who has been gifting motor vehicles to anyone at his will.
Chivayo said that the vehicle gift was in recognition of Dorcas Moyo’s exceptional talent and contributions to the gospel music. On top of the vehicle, the flamboyant businessman also gave her US$20 000 for fuel.
