Serial killer who killed 42 women escapes from Kenyan prison

A Kenyan national named Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, who was arrested on allegations of killing a large number of women and dumping their bodies in an old quarry,  escaped from police custody in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital on Tuesday(yesterday).

Collins Jumaisi Khalusha aged 33, is suspected of killing 42 women in Nairobi, Kenya. The man has been dubbed a vampire due to these several heinous acts.

 

The infamous Khalusha was arrested last month in connection with the discovery of at least six bodies wrapped in plastic bags in Kware quarry. The place is now used as a rubbish dump.

According to the police, the suspect admitted to killing 42 women. The number of his victims also includes his wife.

The Police found several cell phones and a machete in Khalusha’s home.

 

Kenyan Police spokesperson, Resila Onyango has stated that Khalusha escaped out of the Gigiri Police Station with 12 other foreign inmates from  Eritrea.

 

Eight officers allegedly aided Khalusha and 12 foreign prisoners in escaping from the Gigiri police station.

According to police, disciplinary measures have been taken against the eight officers, including the area and station commanders and officers who were on duty.

 

Khalusha was being detained at the police station after a court allowed detectives seven more days to investigate further before charging him. The escape was discovered when breakfast was being taken into the cell.
