LOOSE-tongued Zim dancehall chanter, Silent Killer, says he is quitting dirty lyrics.
The energetic performer’s camp made this revelation ahead of the release of the chanter’s third album titled “Hurungwere”.
Speaking to H-Metro through his manager, Elder Shambare, Silent Killer’s camp said his new album was well knit in every aspect — mixing, mastering and engineering.
He said he had now given his back to the bad boy tag by ditching dirty lyrics.
“The new album was released last Saturday and has 41 songs. Silent Killer’s new album doesn’t have vulgar lyrics or naughty meanings to them.
“He has decided to sing clean lyrics as a way to show people that he is a good person and to change people’s perceptions.
“There are mature songs such as Ndaimbira Varere which is a song for his late parents. This gives listeners closure and they feel closer to the artist,” he said.
Elder Shambara said the album has songs with five collaborations with Tocky Vibes, Hwinza, Boss Pumako, Guspy Warrior and Kadija.
“The album carries 41 songs, but we have more that are yet to be released. This is his third album and we are so excited for the fans to hear it.
“The reason there are 41 songs is because singles do not reach a big audience as we expected.
“We are yet to shoot videos for all the songs as videos give emphasis to the message and they also attract fans,” he said.
