Popular rapper Desmond “Stunner” Chideme was reportedly arrested in Durban, South Africa after physically assaulting his girlfriend.
According to an undisclosed source, Stunner was out partying with his girlfriend when one of the big boys they were hanging out with hit on his girl.
According to the source, his girlfriend did not hesitate giving out her number, a development which infuriated Stunner into physically attacking her.
This is not the singer’s first time to be implicated in gender-based violence issues.
Last year, he was dragged to court for being physical with his then wife Dyonne Tafirenyika. However, the court acquitted him.
Meanwhile, Mike Chimombe-led youth empowerment outfit, Economic Empowerment Group (EEG) has called for the ban of multi-award winning Zimdancehall chanter, Winky D from performing in the the country.
This comes after Winky D’s release of his album Eureka Eureka which a section of scholars and academics said has heavy political undertones.
Addressing journalists yesterday, EEG representatives said they would want for Winky D to be banned from performing until he starts singing nation building content.
Hip Hop artiste, Holy Ten has since said he now regrets working with Winky D on his latest offering.
