Under pressure gaffer of the popular once dominant EPL side Man Utd, Erik Ten Hag has reviewed that a lot of injuries in his squad are holding them back.
Manchester United had more injuries than an EPL club last season. The injuries were a total of 45. It seems like it is their same fate this season as the number of injuries in their squad is continuing to pile up.
Nine of their first-team players failed to face Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce in their Europa Group Match against the club on Thursday.
On their defensive side, defensive trio Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro and Tyrell Malacia are all yet to make a single appearance this season.
Attacking midfielder, Mason Mount has only made a total of five appearances, including the Community Shield and is currently injured for the second time this season.
In an interview, the Dutch coach said:
“Yes, it holds us back in our levels and also in our position in the league,” said Ten Hag. “When you don’t have the players available, you can’t line up the best team.”
According to reports, Man Utd looks forward to solve the injuries problem by hiring a new head of Medical. The new head named Gary O’Driscoll, was hired from Arsenal.
