Nigel Nhamo, a 33-year-old accountant at Dinson Iron and Steel Company in Manhize, Mvuma, found himself facing theft charges at the Mvuma Magistrates’ Court.
His alleged misdeeds spanned from July 2023 to April 2024, during which he reportedly tampered with payroll and time sheets from the Human Resources Department.
Nhamo’s scheme involved deducting funds from multiple employee accounts, resulting in an amassed total of approximately USD 80,000.
This ill-gotten fortune fueled Nhamo’s opulent lifestyle, epitomized by an extravagant wedding in December 2023 and a subsequent honeymoon in South Africa.
While on their South African escapade, Nhamo and his wife embraced luxury to the fullest, partaking in adventurous escapades such as rock climbing on Table Mountain.
These indulgences underscored the extent of their lavish spending, funded by Nhamo’s illicit activities within the company.
